Eleneus Akanga is a Rwandan Journalist. He currently lives in the United Kingdom where he was exiled in 2007. He loves blogging and continues to write for several publications around the world as a freelance journalist. He has worked for Reuters, The Africa Report, The Guardian, Expression Today (ET), Business Daily, LA Times, The African Executive. He has also appeared on numerous shows both TV and Radio including guest appearances on Newsnight, BBC Radio 4, and Voice of America (VOA). He holds a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) from the University of York, England. A human rights advocate and strong believer in press freedom, free speech and freedom of expression, Eleneus hopes to one day return to Rwanda and be part of the country’s development process.
